PreK3 Position Summary St. Cecilia Catholic School is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated PreK3 Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, faith-filled, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where young children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. The PreK3 Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing engaging lessons that support the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of three-year-old students. The teacher will work closely with families, faculty, and staff to support each child's growth and success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Experience working with young children preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to create a warm, structured, and engaging classroom environment Practicing Catholic preferred, or willingness to support the mission and values of Catholic education Must be able to meet all diocesan and school employment requirements, including background checks and safe environment training Responsibilities Plan and teach age-appropriate lessons that support early childhood development Create a safe, welcoming, and faith-filled classroom environment Support students in developing social skills, independence, and positive behavior Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administration Maintain student records, observations, and assessments as required Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and religious celebrations Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned duties Support the mission of St. Cecilia Catholic School in forming Saints and Scholars Preferred Skills and Qualities Patient, loving, and enthusiastic with young children Organized and dependable Creative and flexible in lesson planning Strong understanding of early childhood learning and development Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a faith-based school community
