A Master's or PhD in Human Development, Family Studies, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field is required. The required degree must be completed by the start date.Experience:
Teaching experience at the university level in Human Development, Family Studies, or Marriage and Family Therapy is preferred.Duties/Expectations:
Successful applicants will teach a 3-credit, semester class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-10:45 am during 2026 Fall semester to undergraduate students in the School of Family Life. By the end of the semester students in this class should be able to: Learn the basic terms, concepts, and theoretical frameworks used in family science in ways that deepen your understanding of families, strengthen your ability to seek truth "by study and by faith," and prepare you to use this knowledge to bless individuals and families throughout your life. Interpret family patterns using class concepts and research so you can think more clearly, understand different perspectives, become more caring and aware in your interactions, and become a more thoughtful and open-minded learner. Evaluate what strengthens or challenges families with compassion, helping you grow into someone who makes wise, ethical choices in relationships. Apply principles from family science to your own life so you can build healthier relationships, communicate more effectively, help you better understand other, and become someone who strengthens the people around you. Integrate what you learn about families with your personal and spiritual values so you can become a more discerning, Christlike person who promotes belonging and supports the well-being of others.
