Remainder of the current school year and into Summer School About the Role A school district in the Perris area is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher to support students with diverse physical and developmental needs. This role focuses on creating inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate physical education experiences that promote motor skills, confidence, and lifelong wellness. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized APE programs aligned with students' IEP goals. Assess students' motor skills and physical abilities to determine appropriate adaptations. Collaborate with special education teams, general education teachers, therapists, and families. Provide direct instruction in a variety of school settings (classrooms, gyms, playgrounds). Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings. Foster a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment for all students. Qualifications Valid California teaching credential with Adapted Physical Education authorization. Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred). Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to inclusive education and student-centered instruction.
