Holy Trinity School is a Catholic private school located in San Diego County, California. The Physical Education Teacher is responsible to develop in each pupil an understanding of the relationship of good body function and exercise; to motivate each pupil to cultivate physical fitness, hygienic habits, and good social and emotional adjustment; to discover and develop talents of pupils in physical achievement; to develop strength, skill, agility, poise, and coordination in individual, dual, and team physical activities and sports, in accordance with each pupil's ability. • Active, practicing Roman Catholic (preferred)
• Respects and understands a Catholic school philosophy Professional Qualifications
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree
• Clear criminal background check (a clear Livescan for the Diocese of San Diego is a condition of employment)
• Experience teaching in an elementary school classroom or similar experience

• Models a healthy lifestyle and personal physical fitness
• Position requires a high level of energy and ability to move from a sitting to standing position frequently
• Must be able to explain and demonstrate fundamental motor skills and patterns for movement skills such as running, hopping, jumping, galloping, twisting, turning, or bending
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach and must have mobility of arms and dexterity of hands
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to walk and jog long distances as needed
• Be able to move quickly from one place to another to ensure safety
• Can lift 30 pounds and is able to work indoors and outdoors
• Must be able to supervise students by sight and sound
• Must have the physical ability to lead sports and games
