75 FTE Part-time Middle and High School Physical Education for 2026-2027. This position can be adjusted to be 0.5 FTE or 0.75 FTE. This position can also grow to be full time in following years but does not have to. As a Christian role model and instructor, the PE Teacher provides a strong foundation in physical skills for the development of the student's full flourishing to honor God and one another; to grow in knowledge, skill, and virtue to reason, create, serve and lead in this world. Under the supervision of the Head of School, the Athletic Director plans, organizes and teaches an instructional program in a safe and positive learning environment that guides students to develop content knowledge and moral character in the following courses: 6th Grade PE 9th
Grade PE PE Extracurriculars Coordinator:
high school boys' soccer, girls' volleyball, boys' basketball, cheer, and track and field Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities As PE Teacher (0.5 FTE): Develops and maps out the course curriculum according to state standards and school standards for coherent and robust physical education instruction; submits to Principal for approval; In support of such approved curriculum, prepares and delivers clear instructional lesson plans and activities that engage students and that facilitate physical health and character; Assigns, encourages and evaluates students' progress; maintains accurate and complete records of students' attendance, progress and development in the course; communicates clearly with students; 6th grade PE is Monday through Thursday, 10:30 AM
- 11:30 AM; 9th grade PE is Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:45 PM
- 2:30 PM, alternating Fridays 12 PM

25 FTE): Works with the Principal to acquire skilled coaches of character for extracurricular sports; Coordinates and schedules tryouts, practice venues and game fields/gyms; follows up with proactive communication; Communicates with students and families with professionalism and clarity; Sets a culture of sportsmanship, hard work, and discipline; Represents Rise at games; Maintains order and discipline by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school; establishes and maintains high standards for moral character development in accordance to school wide expectations; Models Christian faith, responsibility, service, and professionalism; Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of school including three hours of supervision per week (eg, front desk, lunch or morning supervision); Participates in school fundraising efforts and neighborhood engagement (eg, gala, Advocate Day); understands that fundraising provides 85% of the school budget; Physical requirements: teachers need to be mobile—to safely lead class to the park and to demonstrate basic PE skills. Compensation Salary range:
