Job Description:
Oxford High School and Oxford Middle School are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Education/Health Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to fostering student growth within a supportive and collaborative school environment. This position is split between the high school and middle school.
Key Responsibilities:
(list not all inclusive) Create an engaging, welcoming environment that encourages student learning and development. Deliver instruction and design activities that promote health and physical literacy and encourage lifelong wellness and activity for students. Collaborate with colleagues and staff to support student achievement and school initiatives. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and class expectations. Complete all required administrative duties, including grading and reporting on student performance. Think flexibly and adapt to the specific needs of students Work in an inclusionary/co-teaching model
Qualifications:
Connecticut Health and Physical Education certification (043 & 044) required Strong, effective communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment. Proactive team player. Dedication to providing a positive and meaningful learning experience for students.
