Aug 31, 2027 Job Description Saint Theresa of Avila School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty. This is a full-time, contract, and salary-based teaching position. We are looking for an energetic, organized, and student-centered educator who is committed to promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and a lifelong love of movement.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging physical education lessons that promote fitness, motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship for students in various grade levels Create a safe and inclusive environment where all students are encouraged to participate and challenge themselves physically Organize and manage equipment, activities, and student behavior during indoor and outdoor physical education classes Assess student progress through observation and appropriate evaluation methods Promote healthy lifestyles and physical wellness aligned with age-appropriate benchmarks and standards Collaborate with classroom teachers and school leadership to support student growth and integrate cross-curricular learning opportunities Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student participation and progress when necessary Model and uphold Catholic values and foster a positive, respectful learning environment If you are interested in this position, please email your resume to: mstephatos@staboston.org to apply today!
