Job Description

Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field, Adapted Physical Education (APE) certification, and 1+ years Adaptive PE Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a vital role supporting middle schoolers with unique physical education needs for the 2026/2027 school year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work across a district, providing direct and consultative Adaptive Physical Education services to select students. As a district-wide position, you'll collaborate closely with schools, educators, and families to help students thrive, ensuring they have full access to meaningful physical education tailored to their abilities. The position is part-time, averaging two to two-and-a-half days per week, requiring on-site support and flexibility for travel between campuses.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Active certification/licensure in Adaptive Physical Education (if applicable) Previous background working within schools, specifically with middle school students with disabilities Proficiency delivering both direct APE instruction and consultative support to teams Excellent collaboration and communication skills Strong skills in time management and organization Required clearing of a drug screen, as well as fingerprinting and background/CORI checks Reliable transportation for district-wide travel between multiple campuses Commitment to punctuality and professional communication for schedule changes
Key Responsibilities:
