Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a qualified (.25 FTE) Wellness Teacher commencing at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Lincoln-Sudbury offers a comprehensive four-year Wellness program, which includes a core curriculum of Intro to Wellness, Foundations of Strength Training, First Aid/CPR, Outdoor Pursuits, Health Issues and Cardiovascular Fitness. In addition to these required courses, the department offers a variety of electives. Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to): Able to teach a variety of Wellness content (physical education and outdoor education). Additional ability to teach health education content preferred, but not required. Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community. Plans lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students. Creates a class environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior. Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed. Communicates with parents to discuss student progress. Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school. Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred from an accredited college or university. Licensed, or eligible for licensure in Physical Education (5-12) and/or Health Education (9-12) by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education.
Experience Preferred:
3 + years educational teaching environment preferred High School teaching experience preferred
Additional Qualifications:
Proficiency in Google tools including Classroom, Slides, Sheets and Docs
