Job Description
Company Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Adapted Physical Education Teacher to join our educational team. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about inclusive physical education and committed to supporting students with exceptional physical needs. Summary As our Adapted PE Teacher, you'll be the MVP of movement for students in our MSDE classrooms. You'll design and deliver individualized and small-group physical education experiences tailored to students with autism, gross motor delays, and other physical impairments.
Your mission:
help students build strength, coordination, confidence, and joy through movement. Instructional Support Adapt techniques and materials to meet each student's developmental level and physical ability. Write, modify, and implement individualized education plans that align with student goals and Maryland APE standards. Assess students' motor skill development, monitor progress over time, and assign students to appropriate physical education programs based on individual needs. Create engaging, inclusive, and goal-driven lesson plans that make movement fun and meaningful. Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student success across all environments.
