Until Filled Teacher, Physical Education, Grades PreK-3 - Fruit Street School Appropriate teaching certificate required (510 Physical Education) Current adapted physical education endorsement required (515 Adapted Physical Ed) Utilize reources adopted by the Bangor School Committee and other appropriate learning activities Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning Develop lesson plans and instructional material. Provide individualized instruction and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of the students Maintains required inventory record Translates lesson plans into learning experiences so to best utilize the available time for instruction Assesses the accomplishment of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required Supervises pulils out of classroom activities during the assigned work day Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities Communicates effectively through written and electronic modes Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities Participates cooperatively with all staff members and successfully functions as a collaborative team member Performs such other duties, consistent with the position, as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools
