Teacher, full time Position Details Kearsley Community Schools is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as a Physical Education Educator. This position is available for the 2026-2027 academic year, with an anticipated start date the week of August 10. The Kearsley Board of Education will offer the successful candidate an annual salary per the KEA Master Agreement commensurate with their skills and experience. The successful candidate will also receive a complete and competitive MESSA fringe benefit package. A new community recreation facility with a 1,500-seat competitive gym, indoor track, and training spaces Enhanced STEM and Robotics spaces and flexible classroom designs Secure, redesigned entrances for all elementary schools The Position Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and a Michigan Teaching Certificate with at least one of the following endorsements: Health (MA) or (MC) Physical Education (MB) Health and Physical Education (MC) Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (MX) Family and Consumer Science (KH) Candidates holding additional endorsements are preferred The qualified candidate will use creative instructional strategies along with best practices for classroom teaching which promotes interactive learning and student engagement through technology, literature, and writing. The candidate must be adept with technology and ready to consider emergent techniques to enhance student achievement.Candidates will also:
Aide in research, development, implementation, and evaluation of the Visual Arts curriculum; Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans; Incorporate practical application of content knowledge in lesson plans; Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each learner; Develop and implement progressive classroom-based interventions; Utilize progress monitoring; Monitor and evaluate student development and growth through a variety of assessments; Maintain accurate student classroom records.
