Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education and a valid Michigan teacher certification as approved by MDE; OR Bachelor's Degree and enrollment in a state-approved program leading to teacher certification as required by MDE. Criminal history background check

Preferred:

Previous classroom teaching experience in a comparable district. MX, MB, or MC endorsement.

Salary/Benefits:

Commensurate with credentials and level of experience and in accordance with MPS salary schedule. Starting range $51,814-$75,347. Medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance coverage offered. Eligible for Michigan ORS retirement plan for public school employees. Paid time off includes ten (10) sick leave days, three (3) personal days, and two (2) professional development days.
