Job Description

Youngsville Academy is the top-performing school between Wake County and Virginia. We offer a classical, college-preparatory curriculum with high expectations across all disciplines. We are seeking an excellence-oriented K-8 Physical Education Teacher to develop a lifelong appreciation for hard work, teamwork, physical activity, and health. In this dynamic role, you will design engaging, age-appropriate PE curricula that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. You will foster a positive classroom environment that encourages students to improve their fitness levels and develop essential motor skills. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help students build confidence, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle while supporting their overall personal development. Duties Implement a comprehensive physical education program aligned with educational standards Plan and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate movement activities, sports, and fitness exercises to promote physical abilities. Maintain a safe environment at all times, and properly communicate and manage any injuries within established procedures. Manage classroom behavior effectively using proven classroom management techniques to create a safe and inclusive environment for all students Track student progress, assign activities, and communicate with parents and staff Assess student performance regularly; provide constructive feedback to support individual growth Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, academic advising, and school-wide initiatives aimed at fostering healthy lifestyles among students
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Prior classroom experience working with children in K-8 settings Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate physical activity Proven success managing classrooms effectively Strong communication skills are vital for collaborating with staff, parents, and community partners dedicated to student health. NC Professional Educator's License (Preferred)
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
