Job Description

Pay:
$38 - $45 per hour Position Summary The Physical Education Elementary Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of all students. The teacher will design and deliver standards-based instruction aligned with state and district curriculum requirements while fostering a love of learning and high expectations for student achievement. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Plan and implement engaging, standards-based lessons in core content areas including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction. Classroom Environment Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom culture. Implement effective classroom management strategies. Promote positive student behavior and social-emotional growth. Student Support Identify students' academic and behavioral needs and collaborate with support staff to implement appropriate interventions. Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI), IEP, and 504 meetings as required. Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress. Collaboration & Communication Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and related service providers. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Professional Responsibilities Maintain compliance with district policies, state regulations, and professional standards. Engage in ongoing professional growth and development. Perform additional duties as assigned by administration. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field Valid state teaching certification in Elementary Education (appropriate grade level endorsement required). Strong knowledge of state standards and instructional best practices. Effective classroom management and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. #INDEDU1
