10-Month Position Commences September 2026 MAJOR

RESPONSIBILITIES

Seeking a physical education teacher to provide general physical education and health education in an alternative high school setting. Key responsibilities include Assess individual students and develop, adapt and implement physical education programming on an individual basis or group setting Develop differentiated instruction and curricula that meets the needs of students (9-12) with a wide range of skills and experiences On-going collaboration with the Evertech Academy team to ensure the provision of quality services Engage students at a physically and cognitively appropriate level Accurately complete all paperwork in a timely manner as mandated by New York State and school policies and procedures Three (3) Professional References Required - These must be filled out in the section of your application where requested -all sections are required. REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

NYS Certification in Physical Education NYS Certification in Health Education preferred Experience working within a high school physical education setting preferred, but not required Ability to work collaboratively with others Belief in the value of physical exercise for every student, and willingness to use creative measures to help students maximize their potential in the gym and in the classroom
