- Required virtual orientation June 11, 2026 (1 hour)
- Optional program planning/prep day: June 29
- July 2, 2026
- Required full day on August 14th (12:00-3:00, classroom cleanup)
SALARY:
Per RHEA Teachers' Contract (summer school "enhanced load" rate) Article 26, Section 8
DUTIES:
The Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Program provides instructional and support services for students with significant learning, developmental, behavioral, and/or physical needs who qualify for summer programming. The ESY Physical Education Teacher will provide developmentally appropriate physical education activities that support motor development, participation, social interaction, regulation, and student engagement in a safe and structured environment. Responsibilities include planning and implementing adapted physical activities, collaborating with staff, supporting student safety and behavioral needs, and modifying activities and equipment based on individual student needs. QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess the appropriate NYS Teacher Certification.
Preference in appointment will be given to Rush-Henrietta teachers.
