Physical Education Teacher

Buckley Country Day School, a premier independent school serving students aged 2 through grade 8, seeks a dynamic and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities Collaborate with colleagues and utilize various curriculum resources to create objective-based lessons for students in both the Lower and Upper Schools (Nursery through Eighth Grade) Actively engage students in the delivery of high-quality instruction/coaching Differentiate instruction and coaching to meet the physical needs of all students Establish a supportive learning environment that provides for the social-emotional learning of all students Grade student work and maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and grades Effectively communicate with parents and students regarding progress Attend required meetings and participate in professional development opportunities Provide instruction that reflects the diverse educational, cultural and athletic backgrounds of the students served Coach fall, winter and spring seasons: four to six games per season, daily practices Serve as an advisor to a small group of students in the Upper School Qualifications Must be a creative and passionate instructional teacher who possesses the ability to motivate students to strive for athletic and physical excellence. Successful candidates will work in a student-centered, engaging environment that is dedicated to success and growth for all students. Collaborative team player that has the desire to be an integral part of a dynamic team and continue to grow as an educator.

Compensation:
