Full-time What You'll Do:
As the Health and Physical Education Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering instructional programs that promote physical fitness, health awareness, and lifelong wellness habits among students while creating a safe, engaging learning environment and aligns instruction with Pennsylvania academic standards.
What You'll Bring:
PA teaching certification in Health and Physical Education (PK-12). Bachelor's degree Strong communication, motivation, and organizational skills Comfort using technology in the classroom A collaborative spirit—ready to work with staff, students, and families Openness to using translation services when needed
What You'll Do Every Day:
Plan and implement health and physical education lessons aligned with Pennsylvania state standards. Teach students skills related to fitness, sports, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle choices . Instruct health topics such as nutrition, mental health, personal wellness, and substance abuse prevention. Assess and evaluate student progress in physical skills, knowledge, and participation. Maintain a safe environment during physical activities and enforce safety rules. Adapt activities and lessons to accommodate students with diverse abilities and learning needs. Organize and supervise games, exercises, and physical skill development activities. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student wellness. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and assessments. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Promote positive behavior, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
