Elementary Physical Education Teacher McKeesport Area School District 2026-2027 School Year The McKeesport Area School District is seeking a passionate and student-centered Elementary Physical Education Teacher to inspire healthy, active lifestyles while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong wellness. Position Summary The Elementary Physical Education Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging physical education instruction for students in grades K-5. The successful candidate will create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that supports students' physical, social, and emotional development. Essential Responsibilities Plan and deliver standards-based physical education instruction aligned with Pennsylvania Academic Standards. Promote physical fitness, motor skill development, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Establish and maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment. Assess student progress and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success. Participate in professional learning, faculty meetings, and school events. Uphold district policies and maintain professional responsibilities. Qualifications Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Teaching Certificate in Health and Physical Education (PreK-12) . Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to fostering positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Ability to integrate engaging and developmentally appropriate instructional practices. Salary Salary and benefits are provided in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.
