Job Description
Davies Career and Technical High School in Lincoln, Rhode Island is a state school that prepares students with a technical skill set and training they can carry to future careers. Over 90% of graduates leave Davies with industry certification, with students choosing from across nine different career areas: Automotive Careers, Electrical, Machine Technology, Pre-Engineering, Biomanufacturing Technology, Education and Childcare, Health Careers, Hospitality Careers, and Graphics & Interactive Media. Davies is hiring a full-time Advanced manufacturing Instructor!
Qualifications-RI Teacher Certification:
CTE Entry-level Machinist/Manufacturing or certificate eligible-Five years of relevant work experience-Teaching experience preferred-Masters degree preferred-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptableEssential Duties/Responsibilities-Develop and implement an effective Advanced Manufacturing program, including theory and labs that facilitate meaningful learning in the core competencies of the curriculum-Maintain student record, including grades, attendance, and performance measures that assess and improve student learning-Foster a safe and productive learning environment-Facilitate program advisory board meetings-Support student career readiness and Work-Based Learning experiences-Maintain knowledge of best practices in and current industry standards-Perform other duties as assigned Skills & Understanding Required-Communicates and collaborates effectively with students, families, and colleagues -Know and understand industry recognized credentials and industry standardsPhysical Demands-The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
