The ideal candidate will create engaging lessons that promote physical development while supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for working with elementary-aged students and a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and Christ-centered learning environment. Essential Responsibilities Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate physical education instruction for elementary students. Promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, teamwork, cooperation, and good sportsmanship. Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for all students. Differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs and abilities of students. Assess student progress and maintain accurate records. Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, and administration regarding student growth and performance. Organize and maintain physical education equipment and facilities. Support school-wide activities, events, and programs as assigned. Integrate Catholic values and character development into daily instruction. Serve as a positive role model who reflects the mission of St. Louis Catholic School. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field. Valid teaching license or eligibility for licensure. Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in elementary physical education preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. Practicing Catholic preferred. Characteristics Energetic, enthusiastic, and student-centered. Strong communicator and collaborative team member. Creative in designing engaging and active lessons. Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, and a growth mindset. Dedicated to fostering the spiritual, physical, social, and emotional development of each child.
