In this role, you will design engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate physical education programs that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal fitness. Your enthusiasm and expertise will motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities to reach their full potential while fostering a positive classroom environment that emphasizes safety, respect, and active participation. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to students' age groups and skill levels. Lead engaging lessons that incorporate a variety of sports, fitness activities, and movement exercises to promote physical literacy. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all students. Assess student progress through observations, standardized testing, and performance evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support growth. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and extracurricular activities related to health and wellness initiatives. Adapt teaching strategies for students with special needs or those requiring individualized support, including working with children with autism or in special education programs. Requirements Proven experience teaching physical education in classroom or school settings, preferably within private or early childhood education environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development, behavior management techniques, and classroom management skills. Familiarity with curriculum development, standardized testing procedures, and literacy education as it relates to health education. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate creative writing elements when appropriate for cross-curricular integration. Join us as we empower students through active learning!
