Physical Education Teacher

Burlington Catholic is seeking a passionate person to teach Physical Education to teach K3-3rd grade. This position is full time but could be adjusted to part time. The BCS Physical Education Teacher is responsible for the instruction, supervision, and management of K3-3rd grade elementary school students teaching them the basic fundamentals of physical education. The PE teacher should have excellent communication skills, a willingness to collaborate with fellow teachers and administration, and provide a welcoming, supportive learning environment that fosters creativity and a love for athlethics. Primary Responsibilities of the

BCS Physical Education Teacher:

Develop and implement creative unit plans that are developmentally appropriate and align with the Archdiocesan exit expectations. Ability to assess students in multiple ways Knowledge of or willingness to learn PowerSchool to report standard scores and grades Communicate and collaborate regularly with fellow teachers, administration, parents, and students regarding progress Attend weekly staff meetings, yearly professional development including faith formation; willingness to participate in after school / weekend school-related activities such as (but not limited to) sports, graduation, open house, parent information night.
