Job Description
Hebron Academy is seeking a creative and caring educator interested in fostering student-centered learning in the Physics classroom. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching a wide range of physics levels, including AP Physics and Conceptual Physics, be enthusiastic about working with adolescents in a residential school environment, and be excited to contribute to a culture of awareness, understanding, and respect for all individuals and groups. We are a deeply relational and intentionally small community where our faculty are encouraged and supported to bring their full selves to their work. We are looking for a faculty member to assume duties in mid-August for the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities:
Teach four class sections Lead or assist in an after-school sport or activity for two seasons Serve as an advisor to a small group of students Supervise students as a part of a residential faculty team Engage in the greater life of the school during meals, celebrations, games, and community events About Hebron Academy Hebron Academy is an independent boarding and day school serving students in grades 6-12. A bachelor's degree in Physics or a related field Experience teaching Physics, including lesson planning and differentiating instruction and assessment Enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues and continued professional growth Commitment to nurturing the whole child by caring for the emotional and social needs of each student Demonstrated ability to communicate in a culturally responsive and inclusive manner with diverse students, families, colleagues, and alumni The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in introductory engineering and/or computer science classes.Similar remote jobs
