Job Description

Physics Faculty One-Year Leave-Replacement Position Hillsdale College Location Hillsdale, Michigan Open Date Feb 03, 2026 Description Applications are invited for a one-year leave-replacement position that starts in August 2026. Courses taught may include first- and second-semester algebra- or calculus-based introductory physics. Hillsdale College is a small (1500 students), independent Christian liberal arts college dedicated to the perpetuation of freedom through serious learning and moral formation. It is committed to the Western intellectual tradition and requires genuine excellence in undergraduate teaching. The Physics Department is well equipped and has 19,000 sq. ft. of floor space. Salary is competitive with similar schools. Qualifications A Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field is required.
