Job Description Postdoctoral The Department of Physics in the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science at Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) invites applications for a postdoctoral or research scientist position, with an imminent starting date. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in Physics or equivalent and research experience in the fields of nanophotonics, experimental nonlinear optics, and quantum physics, with significant knowledge of nanophotonic fabrication and applications. Successful applicants are expected to join prominent research and development projects around innovative nanophotonics and quantum technology. They should possess a passion for and be committed to excellence in research in a highly interdisciplinary, collaborative, diverse, innovative, and entrepreneurial culture at Stevens. He or she is expected to become a part of collaborative research within the Center for Quantum Science and Engineering, the Physics Department and of multidisciplinary projects involving researchers from other departments and schools on campus. Department Physics Compensation Range In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act, the annual base range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. This range represents the University's good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget, qualifications, and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation, such as incentives, stipends, or other applicable pay components.
