Position Summary The Knight Campus is seeking qualified applicants for its open ProTem Instructor/Lecturer pool. Knight Campus Instructors/Lecturers develop innovative and multidisciplinary educational materials with the goal of preparing graduate students for entry-level positions in academic, industry, and government labs. If you enjoy teaching students topics that encompass both the life sciences and materials sciences, we encourage you to ! Successful Instructors/Lecturers will mentor students on research projects that span a breadth of topics and need to stay current on innovative discoveries and methods. Positions are limited-duration appointments potentially renewable for up to a total of three years. In limited circumstances, there is the possibility of renewal beyond three years based on programmatic need, funding, and performance. Minimum Requirements
Instructor:
  • Master's degree from an accredited higher education institution in a relevant science field.
  • Three years of experience in research/innovation capacity.
  • Experience teaching and developing curriculum.
Lecturer:
  • Terminal degree from an accredited higher education institution in a relevant science field.
  • Three years of experience in research/innovation capacity.
  • Experience teaching and developing curriculum. Professional Competencies
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in bioengineering, biochemistry, biology, biophysics, physics, chemistry, chemical engineering or related disciplines.
