Job Details The Department of Physics and Engineering Science in the Gupta College of Science at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for one visiting non-tenure track position at the Visiting Faculty level beginning Fall 2026 in support of its Applied Physics and Physics Education programs. This is a 9-month position paid out over 12 months and is renewable on an annual basis for up to a total of 3 years, depending on department needs and available funds. Applicants must have a Master's Degree in Physics, Physics Education, or a closely related field by the time of appointment and be comfortable teaching courses in the areas of conceptual physics, algebra-based and calculus-based university physics. Rank will be dependent on the education, training, and experience of the incumbent selected. Calculates and assigns grades (e.g., mid-term and final) through established procedures listed in the Faculty Manual and University catalog. Tracks and reports absences as directed by the Office of the Registrar. Job Duty Posts and holds regular office hours each week per College and University guidelines. Engages in University-related activities including committee assignments, meetings and scholarly pursuits as prescribed in the Faculty Manual. Serves as an academic advisor for students as assigned.
