Job Description

Teaching Fellow of Physics Schreiner University in Kerrville, TX invites applications for a full-time 2-3 year fixed-term Teaching Fellow position in the Physics, to begin in August 2026. The position can be converted to a tenure-track or continuing position at the end of the fixed-term appointment based on qualifications and performance.
Expectations :
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds and will be capable of teaching algebra-based and calculus-based physics courses. Responsibilities include teaching a combined total of 30 hours total during the fall, winter, and spring terms, and participation in a 4-week faculty development institute at the end of each academic year. Preferred candidates will have an interest in supporting co-curricular astronomy programming, including utilizing the campus observatory and leading community engagement events such as star parties. There are no additional service or advising obligations associated with this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
A master's degree in physics or expected doctoral degree in physics before August 2026.
Preferred Qualifications:
A doctoral degree in physics. Teaching experience at the collegiate level, including both face-to-face and online modalities.
