Adjunct Faculty College of Social Science (Jasper Campus, Face-to-Face Instruction) Part-time Non-tenure track Vincennes University Jasper hires adjunct faculty each semester on an as-needed basis. The College of Social Science is accepting applications for adjunct instructors for courses in: ECON 201- Microeconomics This is an ongoing posting. This position is responsible for:

Work under the direction of the Social Science Academic Area Coordinator Prepare and teach undergraduate courses (day and night courses may be offered) Develop syllabi for course and ensure course content meets accreditation requirements Provide timely and meaningful feedback to students on progress in course Take attendance at the beginning of each class Update student grades in the gradebook on a regular basis Learning and utilizing technology, including Blackboard online course management system Engage with students outside the classroom through email and in-person during office hours Utilize online tools to help university monitor student progress across courses Complete a yearly self-evaluation with the goal of improving and progressing as an educator

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Extensive, contemporary knowledge of related field Practical application of pedagogical tools and theory Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidential information Minimum qualifications: Master's degree with GH in Economics; or master's degree with 18 GH in Economics; or master's degree with 18 GH in Economics related work

Physical Demands:

Normal physical demands for successful work in a typical classroom environment. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to operate and deliver teaching/learning materials.
