This non-tenure track faculty position, based in the Department of Government and Sociology, is a temporary one-year appointment for the 10-month academic year. This position will instruct academic courses and support the department, college, and university goals by fostering an academic environment that benefits the educational mission of the University. Teaching Responsibilities:
  • Full-time instructional load teaching (5 courses) in areas of expertise within the academic discipline.

Knowledge and ability to convey current philosophies, practices, and theories related to the academic discipline. Faculty employees also contribute to the Georgia College & State University core curriculum by teaching topical freshman (GC1Y) or sophomore seminar (GC2Y) courses.   • Evidence of methodological innovation and creative teaching strategies is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 18 graduate semester hours related to the discipline.
  • Understanding of the principles associated with teaching and learning.
