For more information, visit us online at gcsu . The College of Arts & Sciences seeks a Limited Term Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in Political Science. This non-tenure track faculty position, based in the Department of Government and Sociology, is a temporary one-year appointment for the 10-month academic year. This position will instruct academic courses and support the department, college, and university goals by fostering an academic environment that benefits the educational mission of the University. • Teaching/Instructing

Teaching Responsibilities:

• Full-time instructional load teaching (5 courses) in areas of expertise within the academic discipline.
• Regular course meetings and instruction.
• Mentoring Students.
• Other teaching responsibilities.

Knowledge and ability to convey current philosophies, practices, and theories related to the academic discipline. Faculty employees also contribute to the Georgia College & State University core curriculum by teaching topical freshman (GC1Y) or sophomore seminar (GC2Y) courses. All Georgia College & State University faculty share the responsibility of teaching our core curriculum and providing foundation courses for majors and non-majors alike. Faculty

• Evidence of methodological innovation and creative teaching strategies is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 18 graduate semester hours related to the discipline.
• Understanding of the principles associated with teaching and learning.
