Job Description

Position Summary Susie's Mama Bear Preschool & Childcare is seeking an experienced, passionate, and growth-minded Preschool Director to lead our early childhood education program. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations, developing staff, maintaining program quality, supporting enrollment growth, and creating an exceptional experience for children and families. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who believes in accountability, continuous improvement, and building a positive culture where children, families, and staff can thrive. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Staff Development Lead and support all center staff through coaching, mentoring, and professional development. Recruit, onboard, and retain high-quality educators. Conduct classroom observations and performance evaluations. Foster a positive, professional, and accountable workplace culture. Establish clear expectations and promote teamwork and collaboration. Program Quality & Compliance Ensure safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environments. Oversee curriculum implementation and classroom quality. Maintain compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations. Lead the center's participation in the Quality First program. Collaborate with Quality First coaches and assessors to strengthen program performance. Support teachers in implementing best practices in early childhood education. Family Engagement & Enrollment Build strong relationships with current and prospective families. Address parent concerns professionally and promptly. Conduct tours and support enrollment and retention efforts. Promote excellent customer service and family satisfaction. Represent the center positively within the community. Operations & Administration Oversee daily center operations, staffing schedules, and classroom ratios. Maintain accurate records and required documentation. Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, safe, and welcoming. Monitor enrollment, staffing, and operational efficiency. Support ownership in achieving operational and financial goals. Enrollment bonus, up to $5,000 Staff retention bonus, up to $5,000
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
