This leadership role oversees center operations, staff performance, program quality, enrollment growth, and family engagement while working closely with the CEO, Senior Director of Operations, Assistant Director, and administrative teams. Qualifications Required Education & Experience Candidates must meet California Community Care Licensing Title 22 Director qualifications: Minimum 12 ECE Core units required Minimum 3 Infant/Toddler units required One of the following: 4 years teaching experience in a licensed childcare facility; OR Associate Degree plus 2 years teaching experience; OR Bachelor's Degree plus 1 year teaching experience Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood education setting Must be at least 18 years of age Required Certifications & Clearances DOJ/FBI Live Scan clearance CACI clearance Current TB Test and Health Screening Current Mandated Reporter Training certification Required immunizations (MMR, Tdap, Influenza where applicable) EMSA-approved CPR/First Aid certification Completion of Child Care Center Orientation Knowledge of California Title 22 regulations What You'll Do Leadership & Team Development Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate teachers and support staff Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture Manage staff schedules and classroom coverage Support ongoing professional development Operations & Compliance Oversee daily preschool operations Ensure compliance with California Title 22 licensing requirements Maintain health, safety, and risk management standards Support classrooms and address operational challenges as needed Family & Enrollment Support Conduct tours and support enrollment efforts Build strong relationships with families through ongoing communication Participate in community outreach, events, and marketing initiatives Support enrollment growth and student retention Administration Maintain student, enrollment, staffing, and attendance records Utilize LineLeader, ProCare, and related administrative systems Collaborate with finance, recruitment, enrollment, and marketing teams
