At Connolly Ranch, children learn through engagement and connection - digging in the soil, caring for farm animals, exploring ecosystems, and building meaningful relationships with themselves, others, and the natural world. We are seeking a leader who shares this vision and can thoughtfully guide both the big picture and the day-to-day operations of our early childhood programs. About the Role The Director oversees our preschool program (ages 2-5) and Parent-Child classes. This role blends leadership, program design, staff development, family engagement, and financial stewardship.

You will:

Lead a high-quality, nature-based early childhood program Support and develop a strong, mission-aligned team Ensure Title 22 licensing compliance and program quality Partner with families to support each child's growth Manage enrollment, staffing, and program budget Collaborate across the organization and with community partners We're Looking For A leader who meets the California Title 22 Program Director requirements Holds a Site Supervisor Permit (or higher) Has 3+ years of leadership experience in a licensed early childhood program Brings strong knowledge of licensing, staff leadership, program management, and budgetary and financial acumen Is passionate about nature-based, relationship-centered learning Minimum Qualifications Requirements 12 ECE units covering Child Development, Child, Family and Community; preschool curriculum Plus 3 units Administration of Preschool Plus a minimum of 4 years of teaching in a licensed preschool OR A.A. in Child Development or Early Childhood Education (ECE) Plus 3 units in Administration of Preschool Plus 2 years of teaching experience in a licensed preschool OR B.A. in Child Development or ECE Plus 3 units in Administration of Preschool Plus 1 year of teaching experience in a licensed preschool OR Program Director or Site Supervisor Permit from the Department of Teaching Credentialing Why Connolly Ranch Work in an outdoor, nature-based learning environment Be part of a mission-driven nonprofit , collaborative team Lead a program rooted in connection, curiosity, and whole-child development Working Conditions Primarily outdoors, year-round Active role with children in all weather conditions Comfortable working around farm animals Benefits Health, dental, vision 401(k) Paid time off Professional development support Connolly Ranch is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
