We are building a warm, child-centered Montessori environment for children ages 2-5, with a strong focus on independence, curiosity, and joyful learning. We are looking for a founding Director to help us launch, lead, and grow. What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day operations of the center
- Hire, train, and mentor lead teachers and assistants
- Drive enrollment from ramp-up (6 children) to full capacity (29 children) within 12 months
- Maintain health & safety compliances, and state reporting
- Build authentic relationships with parents and community
- Manage budget, payroll, vendors, and monthly P&L in partnership with ownership
- Design curriculum calendar, classroom schedules, and family events What You Bring
- California Child Development Site Supervisor Permit (or eligible) — required
- 15+ ECE units including 3 units of administration or staff relation
- 4+ years leading or assistant-directing a licensed childcare center
- Proven success with enrollment growth, parent engagement, and staff retention
- Excellent communicator — warm with families, clear with staff, organized with owners
- Pediatric CPR/First Aid, TB clearance, fingerprint & background clearance Nice to Have
- Experience opening or launching a new center
- Bilingual (English + Spanish, Mandarin, or Hindi)
- Marketing / social media savvy for community outreach
