This is a full time, salaried position with health benefits and performance bonuses. The Director and Head Teacher is responsible for guiding the team of teachers, continuing their deeper understanding and skill in the Montessori teaching method, assuring that we are staffed appropriately, insuring that we meet licensing regulations for health, safety and supervision at all times, determining the curriculum and annual calendar of events, communicating with parents and maintaining children's files as required by licensing. We have a great reputation and are seeking a strong Montessori mentor to join our team and continue to develop our program. The successful candidate will have Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in a Montessori preschool setting, Preschool teacher qualified, with at least 12 units of early childhood education including child development and child, family, community Have Montessori Early Childhood Teacher certification. Have or be willing to complete 3 units of childcare administration. Have or be willing to complete 3 units of infant toddler development or curriculum. Great at building relationships with parents Ability to guide staff members Ability to manage administrative duties including file management Active criminal background clearance If you are passionate about the Montessori philosophy and interested in both teaching children and guiding and mentoring up and coming Montessori teachers, we can't wait to meet you!
