$58,000 - $72,000 annually (DOE) Position Overview Starpoint is seeking a knowledgeable and mission-driven Early Head Start Education & Disabilities Manager to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of high-quality early childhood education and disability services. This position ensures that all children—particularly those with disabilities or developmental delays—receive inclusive, individualized, and comprehensive services in compliance with Early Head Start Performance Standards. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Oversight Oversee Early Head Start education and disabilities services across all program options Ensure full compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS) and Colorado Child Care Licensing regulations Monitor program quality through ongoing assessment, data review, and continuous improvement planning Education Services Guide implementation of developmentally appropriate, research-based curriculum and school readiness goals Ensure ongoing child assessment, individualized lesson planning, and family engagement in education Support classroom environments that promote social-emotional development and inclusion Disabilities & Inclusion Services Ensure compliance with IDEA Part C and Part B requirements, including the 10% enrollment requirement for children with disabilities Coordinate screenings, referrals, IFSP/IEP processes, and collaboration with early intervention partners Provide guidance to staff on inclusion strategies, behavior supports, and individualized accommodations Staff Supervision & Development Supervise and coach education and disabilities staff Develop and deliver training on curriculum, inclusion, and best practices Support staff performance through ongoing feedback, evaluation, and professional development plans Family & Community Engagement Partner with families to support child development and individualized goals Maintain strong relationships with community agencies, including Child Find and early intervention providers Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and family staffing Data & Compliance Ensure accurate and timely documentation in child and program data systems Prepare for federal reviews, licensing visits, and audits Maintain confidentiality and compliance with
HIPAA/FERPA
as applicable
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a closely related field Minimum of three (3) years of experience in early childhood education, including experience with children with disabilities At least one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and IDEA requirements Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills Ability to pass CBI/FBI background checks and other required screenings Preferred Qualifications Early Childhood Director Qualification in Colorado Experience with Early Head Start or Head Start programs Why Join Starpoint?
