If so, Peninsula Montessori Academy is ready for you. We're looking for a dedicated , organized , and inspiring Head of School to lead our school in Easton, CT . As a private equity school, our Head of School will partner with our Regional Director to ensure that AMS standards are followed and that the school's unique needs will be met. You will not have a board to report to. Each school within our network is guided by a credentialed Montessori expert who will ensure authentic Montessori is implemented every day. Our Heads of School have a deep understanding of Montessori pedagogy, enjoy collaboration, and are life-long-learners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Hire, support and guide a team of Montessori educators, helping them grow professionally while staying rooted in the method Foster a calm , intentional environment where each child is respected as an individual Build warm, collaborative relationships with families and the local community Oversee daily operations —from staffing and scheduling to driving enrollment and school tours Ensure the school aligns with Montessori best practices and complies with MA EEC licensing. Create a space where peaceful independence , exploration , and connection flourish Be an ambasador for the school through events, marketing, familiy education, and tours Proven ability to learn and use software for school managment.

WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or a related field ( required ) 3+ years of experience in early childhood, with 2+ years in a leadership role (preferred) Montessori AMS or AMI credential at the infant/toddler or Early Childhood level. Deep understanding of MA childcare licensing A thoughtful , warm leadership style rooted in respect , consistency , and vision Ability to balance big-picture planning with day-to-day operations Ability to act in dual capacity as lead teacher in the morning and HOS in the afternoon.

WHAT WE OFFER

$60,000 - $70,000/year based on experience & education 12 month contract with ample vacation days built into the school year and 2 weeks of flexible vacation in the summer. 100% Employee Childcare Discount Opportunities for professional development
