Job Description

Early Childhood Lead Coach Location Family Enrichment Center Reference # 2026-314B Close Date 05/28/2026 Summary Under the Early Head Start and Head Start Director, the Early Childhood Lead Coach oversees and supports the programs classroom coaching staff. Description Classified position is announced to all qualified personnel. Applicaitons must be submitted no later than Thursday, May 28, 2026. 8 hours per day/202 days per year/Table 9 Lane 12. $26.30 per hour. (2025 - 2026 Support Salary Table) [Promotions result in a minimun 5% increase] This is a grant funded position, one year is confirmed, may renew up to three years.
GENERAL FUNCTION
Under the Early Head Start and Head Start Director, the Early Childhood Lead Coach oversees and supports the program¿s classroom coaching staff.
Educational Requirements:
1. Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Knowledge and Ability:
1. Ability to train and work with diverse adult populations. 2. Coaching experience and/or training adults in early childhood pedagogy. 3. Strong leadership abilities; demonstrate active listening, excellent verbal and written skills, ability to motivate and encourage adult learners. 4. Ability to understand the economically disadvantaged population and the basic philosophy of the Head Start Program. 5. Knowledge of developmental expectations of 0-5 year old children. 6. Typing and filing ability, computer skills, Microsoft Word & PowerPoint skills. 7. Interpersonal skills.
Job-Related Experience:
1. Two years of experience related to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses/Certification:
1. Driver¿s license 2. CLASS Reliability
