Job Description

Summary The Childcare Director holds primary responsibility for overseeing the operations and administration of Above and Beyond Learning's Childcare Center. This role ensures an optimal environment for children, their families, and staff by managing daily activities, staff recruitment, compliance, and center operations. The Director will also perform other duties as needed to maintain high standards of care and education. Requirements High School Diploma Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent Director Credentials Working knowledge of current best practices for behavior management Exceptional time management and organizational skills Ability to quickly learn and effectively navigate CRM and administrative software (payroll, billing, family data management, employee tracking) Ability to think and act independently with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality Strong communicator with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills Primary Responsibilities Staff Oversee recruitment process including job postings, screenings, interviews, and staff orientation Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting staff engagement Maintain current and accurate staff records, including all Florida licensing required components Inform staff of licensure requirements and policy changes through regular meetings Provide support to staff while maintaining employee confidentiality Collaborate with company leadership on long-term strategies supporting facility growth and development Oversee accurate usage of CRMs Children/Families Manage billing processes, tuition, and fees Manage scholarships such as Early Learning Coalition, School Readiness, and Step Up Develop systems for early recognition of needed services (speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, cognitive delays, etc.) Maintain positive relationships with law enforcement representatives, therapists, and enrichment specialists Educate families and caregivers regarding early intervention avenues when necessary Provide education to families on age-appropriate nutrition, educational objectives, and behaviors Center Operation Ensure preschool adherence to all state and federal employment laws, regulations, and licensing requirements Review and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations and best practices Develop and update personnel and operational procedures Develop and manage the budget, including staff-related expenses Ensure Divy reports are accurate and up to date Establish fees and procedures for fee collection Make operational decisions including student discipline, curriculum, student achievement, staff and parent needs, school events, injury, sickness, personnel, security, and safety concerns Oversee facility accreditation Assist with researching and applying for grants and other funding opportunities Marketing Stay informed on new trends and current pricing schedules among daycare centers in the community Work Week / Hours This is a salaried position with a standard 40-hour work week. Some evenings and/or weekend hours may be required.
