The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, families, and educators every day What You'll Do As Preschool Director, you will provide leadership for all aspects of the school's operations, educational programs, staff development, family engagement, and enrollment success. Leadership & Operations Oversee daily school operations, staffing, scheduling, enrollment, and budgeting. Ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant operations throughout the center. Develop and implement systems, procedures, and best practices that promote excellence. Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative culture for children, families, and staff. Ensure classrooms are appropriately staffed and licensing ratios are consistently maintained. Staff Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and retain high-quality teachers and staff. Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities. Conduct performance evaluations and support continuous improvement. Lead team meetings and create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence. Inspire and motivate staff to deliver outstanding care and education. Educational Excellence Ensure implementation of a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Monitor classroom quality and educational outcomes. Support teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and instructional practices. Ensure classrooms remain engaging, safe, organized, and aligned with best practices in early childhood education. Promote school readiness and positive developmental outcomes for all children. Family Engagement Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families. Maintain open, professional communication regarding children's development and school programs. Address family concerns promptly and effectively. Plan and lead family events, conferences, and community-building activities. Create a welcoming environment where families feel supported and valued. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all Florida licensing regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation for inspections and audits. Conduct safety drills and uphold the highest standards of health and safety. Ensure required staff certifications, including CPR and First Aid, remain current. Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and regulatory matters. Community Growth & Enrollment Success Lead enrollment efforts to maintain high occupancy and achieve enrollment goals. Conduct tours for prospective families and effectively communicate the value of our programs and services. Build strong relationships with current families to promote retention and positive word-of-mouth referrals. Partner with leadership to implement enrollment, marketing, and community outreach initiatives that drive sustainable growth. Monitor enrollment trends and proactively identify opportunities to attract and retain families. Serve as an ambassador for the school, helping strengthen its reputation for excellence within the community. Qualifications Active Florida Director Credential. Active Staff Credential (FCCPC or equivalent). Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred). Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a preschool, childcare center, or early childhood education setting. Strong knowledge of Florida childcare licensing requirements and DCF regulations. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive enrollment growth. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
