Daycare Academy Director

About the Role We're building something exceptional in North Forsyth County, and we need an experienced, passionate leader to help us do it. As our founding Academy Director, you'll have a rare opportunity to shape the culture, team, and educational experience of a brand-new Kiddie Academy from day one — in a purpose-built, 10,125 sq ft facility targeting a Summer 2026 opening. The Academy Director is the operational heart of our center. Reporting directly to the franchise owner, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional educational experience aligned with Kiddie Academy's proprietary Life Essentials® curriculum , maintaining full compliance with Georgia DECAL licensing standards, and leading a team of dedicated early childhood educators.

Required Qualifications Education:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field

CPR & First Aid:

Current certification required (or obtained prior to first day of employment)

State Credential:

Georgia Director's Credential (or ability to obtain prior to or within 6 months of hire)

Background Check:

Must pass FBI and GBI fingerprint-based background check (GAPS portal) prior to child contact

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of management or director-level experience in a licensed child care or early education setting

Director Training:

40-hour DECAL-approved director training course required before license issuance

Age Requirement:

Must be at least 21 years of age per Georgia DECAL Rule 591-1-1

Pre-Service:

10 hours of state-required Health & Safety Orientation Training within 90 days of opening

Georgia DECAL Note:

This position is classified as the Director of a Child Care Learning Center (CCLC). State law requires the Director to hold one of seven approved credentials and maintain full-time, on-site supervision of the facility at all times during operating hours. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Education Administration Prior experience managing a Kiddie Academy, Primrose, KinderCare, or other national franchise childcare brand Demonstrated experience managing a center with 100+ children enrolled Track record of growing enrollment and maintaining strong parent satisfaction Familiarity with Quality Rated (Georgia QRIS) and a commitment to continuous quality improvement Experience hiring, onboarding, and coaching a team of 10 or more educators Proficiency with childcare management software (KARES, Procare, brightwheel, or similar) Experience delivering or implementing a branded, structured early childhood curriculum Key Responsibilities → Lead all daily operations in compliance with Georgia DECAL licensing rules → Ensure health, safety, and sanitation compliance throughout the facility → Implement and oversee delivery of the Life Essentials® curriculum across all age groups → Maintain all required records: staff files, child files, incident reports → Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate all center staff → Oversee Academy Link parent communication and KARES portal operations → Drive enrollment growth through tours, outreach, and family relationship-building → Coordinate with franchise owner on budget, tuition, and vendor management → Serve as the primary point of contact for families → Lead parent engagement events and community partnerships in Forsyth County → Manage staffing schedules and maintain required teacher-to-child ratios → Complete all required annual continuing education hours per DECAL and franchise requirements

Pay:

$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
