Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Bilingual Childcare Director to lead a new Reggio Emilia-inspired early childhood education program serving ages 0-5. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, foster a nurturing environment, and ensure the highest standards of care and education for young children. Río Boise Children's Academy is set to open in fall of 2026 as a dual-immersion (Spanish + English) early education center serving 40 students and their families. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape young minds, support families, and lead a dedicated team committed to excellence in childcare. Duties Manage staff who create daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children from infants to preschoolers Lead and support a team of teachers and caregivers, providing coaching on classroom management, behavior guidance, and early childhood education best practices Support development and implementation of age-appropriate curricula that promote childhood development, social-emotional skills, and early learning milestones Communicate regularly with families in both languages to share progress, address concerns, and foster strong relationships Ensure compliance with licensing and Idaho Child Care Program (ICCP) regulations, health and safety standards, including first aid procedures and emergency protocols Coordinate staff schedules, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to maintain a high-quality program Oversee enrollment processes, maintain accurate records, and manage program budgets effectively Experience Proven experience working with children in childcare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Classroom management expertise with a focus on behavior management strategies, especially PBIS / Pyramid Model approaches Prior leadership or supervisory experience in childcare or educational environments Strong background in childhood development principles and special education needs Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with excellent communication skills in both languages Knowledge of first aid procedures and certifications preferred; ongoing training required Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, preschool curricula, and classroom activities Join us as a Bilingual Childcare Director to make a meaningful impact on young lives while leading a passionate team dedicated to nurturing growth.
