Job Summary God's Gifts Preschool in Oswego is looking for an experienced and motivated Preschool Director to join our team. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills (verbal & written), and a passion for Early Childhood Education. This is a year round part time position. Duties Oversee the daily operations of the preschool program Ensure compliance with all DCFS licensing standards and company policies Lead, coach, mentor, inspire teaching staff Build strong relationships with children, families, and the community Support enrollment growth and family retention Maintain a positive, organized, and collaborative work culture Ensure classrooms maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and educational quality Assist with staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and professional development Support curriculum implementation and classroom excellence Handle parent communication with professionalism, while building strong relationships with families Requirements Experience in a childcare or preschool setting required Previous preschool leadership or management experience preferred Knowledge of Illinois DCFS licensing standards Have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or the equivalent (defined as 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hours of college credit in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or Early Childhood Special Education) And a Gateways to Opportunity Level 1 Illinois Director credential OR 3 semester hours of college credits in approved training in administration, leadership or management. Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to multitask and problem-solve effectively
