In this energetic role, you will oversee all aspects of camp operations, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment. Your leadership will inspire staff and campers alike, fostering a community where children can grow, learn, and create lasting memories. This paid position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact while developing your leadership skills in a vibrant outdoor setting. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily camp activities that promote childhood development, teamwork, and fun. Manage a team of counselors and staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality programming. Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by enforcing health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, staff, and community partners to keep everyone informed and engaged. Oversee classroom management strategies during educational activities such as tutoring or arts programs, maintaining a positive environment. Implement behavior management techniques to foster respectful interactions among children with diverse needs. Coordinate special events, sports coaching sessions, theatrical performances, or other themed activities to enhance camper engagement. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, tutoring, or childcare environments. Strong classroom management skills combined with knowledge of childhood development principles. Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional certifications in special education or Christian counseling are a plus. Ability to lead activities involving sports coaching, theater arts, or other extracurricular programs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with children, parents, and staff. Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively while creating an inclusive atmosphere for all campers. Prior experience in teaching or working with students with diverse needs is highly desirable.
