Primrose School of Westmont is looking for a Founding School Director to lead the opening of our new premier early education and care school serving families throughout Westmont, Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills, Downers Grove, Oak Brook, and surrounding communities. This is a unique opportunity to create the culture, build the team, welcome the first families, and establish a school known for excellence. Why This Opportunity Is Different As our Founding Director, you will have: ✓ The opportunity to launch and lead a brand-new, state-of-the-art Primrose school ✓ Supportive, engaged local ownership committed to investing in teachers, families, and quality ✓ The nationally recognized Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and operating systems ✓ A leadership role where your experience and ideas will help shape the school from day one ✓ Competitive compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities What You'll Do Recruit, inspire, and develop an outstanding teaching team Create a positive culture where teachers feel supported and children thrive Build trusted relationships with families and the community Lead enrollment growth and deliver an exceptional family experience Ensure a safe, healthy environment meeting the highest standards of care Oversee daily school operations, staffing, licensing, and performance What We're Looking For The ideal candidate has: 3+ years of leadership experience in an early childhood education environment (Director, Assistant Director, Education Coordinator, or similar role preferred) Experience coaching and developing teachers Strong communication skills and a passion for building relationships with families The ability to meet Illinois DCFS Director qualifications Excitement about creating something special from the ground up Preferred experience: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or related field Experience leading a larger center (100+ children / 20+ staff) Experience opening a new school or growing enrollment Compensation & Benefits $75,000-$90,000 base salary Performance bonus opportunity Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off and holidays Child tuition discount Professional development support About Primrose School of Westmont At Primrose, we believe who children become is just as important as what they know.
