Director of Preschool Description:
Are you a creative, visionary leader with a passion for early childhood education, the arts, andmunity building? The Suzuki School of Newton is seeking an experienced Director of Preschool to join our senior leadership team and guide our thriving integrated arts preschool. This is a unique opportunity to lead a program w music, creativity, and child-centered learning are at the heart of everything we do. Our preschool currently serves 40 students across three classrooms, with plans for expansion and a vibrant summer program featuring themed Adventure Camps, theater experiences, puppetry, and arts-based enrichment. As part of the larger Suzuki Schoolmunity, children also benefit from a rich environment that includes Suzuki music instruction on nine different instruments. What You'll Do
  • Lead and inspire a team of experienced early childhood educators
  • Oversee enrollment, marketing, fundraising and licensing
  • Guide curriculum development with a focus on Suzuki philosophy, learning, and the arts
  • Support classroom design and high-quality educational experiences
  • Build strong relationships with families and the broadermunity
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations on strategic growth and long-term vision
  • shape the future of a unique and expanding preschool program
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Massachusetts EEC Director II Certification
  • Strong knowledge of child development and early childhood best practices
  • Experience supervising staff and managing school operations
  • Excellentmunication, leadership, andanizational skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for enrollment growth and program development
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Background in music, visual arts, theater, or other creative disciplines is a plus
