Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (may vary if needed, must be available for opening shift of 7:00am)
Salary Range:
$24-30/hr-Salaried position • Incentive Pay-Full Health, Dental & Vision Insurance after 90 day probationary period• (based on a fully enrolled center), if Insurance is not needed an Incentive check will be given quarterly equal to the above.
Primary Purpose:
The Assistant Director/Director reports to the Executive Director. The Assistant Director/Director aids in the general running of the center operations ranging from staffing, curriculum implementation, upholding all State and Imagination Station Early Learning Center, Inc. regulations, policies, and procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for children. The Assistant Director/Director is also responsible for maintaining enrollment levels. The Assistant Director/Director interacts with all staff, parents, children and vendors. The Assistant Director/Director is responsible for: Updating voucher book (as needed) Staff Observations Curriculum implementation Completion of monthly inventories (supplies, art, etc.) Fire drill log monthly Children's files to include; Medicine/IHCP & forms Physical & Immunization records Evaluations Voucher Expirations Yearly updates Tour Packets Center tours Tour follow-up Room coverage at lunch and other times when necessary Daily checking of rooms and activities Daily Check of classroom Attendance Newsletter input: curriculum notes, reminders Overseeing Brightwheel; Ensure updates as needed and accurate Brightwheel messages are responded to in a timely fashion by yourself and staff Answering telephone professionally Maintain dress code, good personal hygiene, integrity Attend on-going trainings Be a positive example for the rest of the staff Maintain, at all times, high quality child care standards based on developmentally appropriate practices Assure consistent compliance with all EEC Minimum Standards, including maintenance of annual fire, health and other inspections Represent the center in a professional, courteous and positive manner at all times Promote a positive, caring climate for learning for staff, students, and parents. Deal sensitively and fairly with persons from diverse cultural background
Decision Making Authority:
The Assistant Director/Director must adhere to the policies and procedures of Imagination Station Early Learning Center She (assisted by Executive Director) is responsible for the overall smooth running of the centers operations, the safety and cleanliness of the building, playroom,all classroom room environments, and maintaining a competent and well-trained staff. The Assistant Director/Director is responsible for adjusting her routine throughout the day to meet the demands of the center. The Assistant Director/Director must be able to receive and give instructions and be able to work with all staff in the center. The Assistant Director/Director must be able to address all issues with the children, parents, or teachers in a loving, honest, but firm way. The Assistant Director/Director must notify the owner of any limitations she may have in order to perform the essential functions of the job. The Assistant Director/Director is encouraged to ask questions whenever unsure of a policy.

Mental demands/Physical demands/Environmental factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Occasional occasional prolonged and irregular hours, frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling; prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:
A desire to work with children through positive interaction is required. Prior experience in childcare as a teacher is required. Prior experience in management is preferred. CPR and First Aid certified required. Clean background check required. Good time management, oral and written communication required. Dependable, flexible, and a team player required. •Anything else deemed necessary to ensure the safety and overall running of the center.
