Job Description

Overview Kiddie Academy is opening up a new location in Easton MD and we are looking for childcare educator to open and run our new center. join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Childcare Director, where you will lead and inspire a nurturing environment dedicated to the growth and development of young children. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with safety standards, and foster a positive atmosphere that promotes learning, creativity, and social-emotional well-being. Your energetic leadership will empower staff and engage families, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children from infancy through preschool age. Responsibilities Manage daily classroom activities and ensure adherence to early childhood education best practices. Supervise and support childcare staff, including teachers, caregivers, and assistants, fostering a collaborative team environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote childhood development milestones across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains. Oversee safety protocols, including first aid procedures, emergency responses, and health policies to maintain a secure environment for children and staff. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on children's progress and address any concerns or questions. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies related to daycare and early childhood education. Coordinate training sessions on topics such as special education needs, working with individuals with disabilities, behavior management, classroom management techniques, and caregiving best practices. Skills Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies. Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including toddler care and infant care. Strong classroom management skills to create engaging learning environments while maintaining discipline and positive behavior reinforcement. Ability to lead a team effectively through coaching, mentorship, and conflict resolution. Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly valued. Excellent communication skills for building relationships with families, staff members, and community partners. Experience in classroom experience or nannying that demonstrates caregiving expertise across various age groups.
